This modern, characterful Lagg Single Malt differs from it’s brother in the north by continuing the rich tradition of peated whisky making in this part of Arran. Made using Concerto Barley and water from the Arran borehole, the Kilmory Edition is peated to a punchy 50PPM, double distilled in beautiful copper pot stills right on the shore, and matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels.
Tasting note from the distillery:
Nose: Heather smoke and charred citrus
Palate: An initial burst of fruit gives way to subtle bonfire smoke and a long lasting finish
Finish: Citrus, smoke, and vanilla
