Lindores Abbey Distillery 'Casks of Lindores' STR Wine Barrique 2023, Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 49.4%

Lindores Abbey Distillery is back with its second Casks of Lindores series. The second instalment in the new series is matured in Shaved, Toasted and Recharred ("STR") Red Wine Barriques from Spain and Portugal for over four years with the age of the youngest spirit being 4 years and 8 months.

Colour: Dark Chestnut

Nose: Very mellow fruity plum jam, caramelized muscovado sugar, Scottish butter tablet notes and cinnamon touches

Palate: Sweet plums and dates, ripe apricots with baking spices and roasted chestnuts. Notes of apple and cinnamon pie at the back with a very smooth texture and a pleasant finish

Finish: Medium to long with spices, honey and caramel notes
