Mount Gay Black Barrel Double Cask Blend, Barbados Rum, 43%

This rich, smooth rum from Mount Gay is crafted from a blend of traditional pot and collumn distilled rums. It takes its name from the deeply charred ex-bourbon barrels used to finish the rum for six months, giving a bold, robust flavour.

Tasting Note:

Rich toffee, dried fruits, ginger cake and toasted oak aromas come through on the nose. The palate is plush and smooth, with orange citrus, crackled black pepper spice, toasted vanilla and caramel. A warming finish with a lingering oak spice.
