NV Scarpa Vermouth di Torino Rosso
Boasting 30 hectares of oenologically-rich vineyards across the estate of Poderi Bricchi, nestled atop the border between the Asti and Acqui Terme hills and off the banks of the Tanaro river, Scarpa has a storied history of vermouth production. Dating all the way back to the 1920s, when Antonio Scarpa founded it, to the 1970s when its production halted - until Michael vowed to bring it back with a world-first, unfiltered extra dry variant - Scarpa has upheld Piedmontese liqueur tradition since the 1900s.
A portion of its base wine is made with 20% Moscato d’Asti Docg, giving the spirit an insinuation of local bitter herbs due to the founder’s personal recipe of infusion, achieved via extended periods at ambient temperatures to concentrate the botanicals' essences.
If you’re a Negroni person, look no further than the rosso – citrus, cola, gentian – it’s the best of the best.
Origin: Piedmont, Italy
