The 12 is the flagship whisky of independently owned and operated GlenAllachie Distillery. A combination of their finest oak casks from around the world, these whiskies are frequently monitored by iconic Master Distiller Billy Walker, re-reacked into different types of casks until Billy deems that the perfect balance between distillery character and influence from the wood has been achieved.
Tasting note from the distillery:
Colour - Deep Mahogany
Nose - Layers of heather honey, cinnamon, butterscotch and sticky raisins, with notes of mocha lingering in the background.
Taste - Bursts of orange zest, heather honey and damsons, followed by lashings of mocha, dark chocolate, cinnamon, figs and dates.
