Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 50%

This 2014 vintage release represents another fantastic contribution to Bruichladdich`s Port Charlotte Islay Barley collection.

Made from a combination of Islay Concerto and Propino barley sourced from local farms and peated to a level of 40 PPM, it carries a lovely balance of smoke and gentle sea breeze.

84% of this whisky saw maturation in first-fill bourbon barrels, with the remainder equally aged in second-fill virgin oak and second-fill Bordeaux wine casks, imbuing it with a subtle sweetness and fruity complexity.
